Announcing our new local charity partner, Sue Ryder Yorkshire

Earlier this year, we asked all Intermarketing Agency staff to choose a new local charity partner. And we’re delighted to announce Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice/Sue Ryder Yorkshire as the winner. With Wheatfields hospice just across the road and Sue Ryder now one of our clients, we’re already forging strong links together to support the charity.

Sue Ryder has an affinity for many of us. Caring for patients and their families is something that connects with a lot of people. Some of our staff have personal experience of Sue Ryder hospices and want to help. So we’ve set ourselves a target of raising £5,000 by the end of April, with the whole team doing something to contribute.

Kick-starting our efforts is a cake sale, with the many bakers in our ranks making tasty cakes at home to sell in the office.

Next, Creative Producer, Paul Farquharson is pulling on his running vest and taking on the Yorkshire Marathon. Then in February, some of the team will attempt the incredible feat of covering the length of Britain: 622 miles, by cycling, swimming and running. We’re also planning a coast to coast cycling challenge in April, stopping at various Sue Ryder shops on the way for a rest and a well deserved brew!

Charlotte Stern, Senior Hospice Fundraiser, said: ‘We’re so excited that Intermarketing Agency has chosen to raise funds for Sue Ryder Wheatfields and Manorlands Hospices. The £5,000 that they plan to raise will be enough to fund 625 hours of incredible care for someone who really needs it. It’s amazing they have chosen to bake, race, swim run and cycle to raise much needed funds for the hospices.”
