Cycling, swimming and running for Sue Ryder
By IMA on Feb 27, 2015
Twenty one of Intermarketing Agency’s employees are set to cycle, swim and run the length of the UK between them to fundraise for our chosen charity of the year – Sue Ryder Yorkshire.
A split triathlon event, it will take place on Saturday 28th March 2015 with six swimmers, seven cyclists and eight runners taking part, including Managing Partners, Jamie Allan and Steve Sowden.
On the day, each member of the team must complete a set number of miles to raise £5,000 for the charity’s Yorkshire hospices – Manorlands and Wheatfields.
The seven cyclists will each ride 70 miles between Scarborough and Leeds. The six swimmers are taking on 2.5 miles (160 x 25 metre lengths) each, while the eight runners are doing 15 miles each.
Jamie Allan said: “I think that Sue Ryder has an affinity for a lot of us. Caring for patients and their families is something that strikes home with many people. Some of our staff have had personal experiences of Sue Ryder’s Wheatfields Hospice and they want to do something to help.”
