Leeds and Partners – Magical Leeds integrated campaign

Leeds and Partners asked us to create a festive campaign that would bring the whole city together, inspire more people to visit and ultimately drive footfall and spend.

We came up with ‘Magical Leeds’, an integrated campaign targeted nationally and locally. Designed to encourage short breaks, our concept highlighted the range of culture and shopping available, and also encouraged locals to come and enjoy the unique experiences on offer. And it was all delivered with a generous helping of festive spirit.

Then, to support our own press, online and social media activity, we created a special Magical Leeds toolkit for partners. This included photography, logos and guidelines to make sure everyone was singing from the same hymn sheet.

The campaign had real presence on the streets with an enchanting new city-wide installation, the Leeds Reindeer Trail. The trail invited visitors to wind their way through the city and discover 16 individually designed, life-size 3D model reindeers. Each reindeer was sponsored and styled by a different city partner, including retail destinations Trinity Leeds, The Light and Harvey Nichols.

On top of that, anyone taking a selfie and sharing it on social media using #MagicalLeeds had the chance to win a fantastic weekend break in Leeds.

We’re proud to say our integrated Magical Leeds campaign brought magic to the festive season and made visiting our fair city top of everyone’s Christmas list.
