The challenge

My Home Move is the UK’s leading online conveyancer. This position makes them a target for the competition. And makes constant innovation and optimisation critical. To keep them ahead, we needed to strip back the levels of functionality that had been gradually applied over the years, as well as integrate My Home Move’s new API.

Making it happen

Understanding the consumer mindset was key. On average, Britons move house every 23 years. Research indicates there is, on average, a 48-hour window in the moving process that dictates who we choose as our conveyancer. Pricing, trust and on-hand support are everything in this market.

Live chat and bot integration

The site has always had live chat and more recently a helpful chat bot. We integrated the chat into the design and UX to give My Home Move the flexibility to choose where and when the chat is displayed. Prompting users at the right places for maximum conversion.

Converting content

Refining where markers of trust sit like Trustpilot reviews or friendly team faces to add that human element – all shown to optimise user journeys.

Clear pricing and information

Complex cost breakdowns can be confusing, so table design, added benefits and saving a quote for later are all key. Particularly on mobile where it’s more of a challenge to convey included services.

Usability testing

Design concepts were put through their paces by potential customers, where a number of micro-conversions were extracted and put into play.

The results

Overall conversion increased three percentage points.

100% YoY increase in organic sessions across the Help & Advice section.
